Lukas and his team did a great job of plastering over a swirl pattered and cracked old ceiling in my daughters bedroom. Fantastic job, the ceiling looked flat and new. Also paired white over a very dark paint, completely transforming the room. Very accommodating.
I would look no further and won’t anymore…Lukas was fantastic to not only deal with and made things so easy for me. He provided a quote, stuck to it, got the job done so quickly, cleaned up and it looks amazing! I would honestly look no further if you want a great job done for a reasonable price. A real pleasure to deal with!!!
Lukas and his team did great job and they worked diligently to provide the best result for what we exactly asked for. Lukas was great in communicating to discuss development as our renovation proceeded. It was pleasure working with them. We would hire them again for other projects. These guys know what they’re doing!!
Choosing the right contractor is a big deal for your reno. It can make or break things, ya know? Here’s how to do it:
1. Do Some Digging:
– Hit the web, check out places like Houzz.
– Scope out ratings, reviews, and all that jazz.
– Ask pals, family, neighbors—anyone who did a reno.
– Swing by home shows, talk to folks face-to-face.
2. Get Those Quotes Rollin’:
– You got your shortlist, now get those quotes.
– Three quotes at least, from different folks.
– Compare prices, quality, materials, the whole shebang.
– Break it down, ask questions, get the deets.
3. References and Credentials:
– Quotes compared? Now check those refs.
– Hit up two references for each contractor.
– Grill ’em on experience, satisfaction, any beef.
– Check credentials too—papers, licenses, all that good stuff.
4. Lock It In with a Contract:
– Found your match? Time to sign on the dotted line.
– Contract time, baby! Legit stuff.
– Spells out the nitty-gritty—cost, schedule, the works.
– Read it, get it, keep a copy. Handy for the ride.
Go or stay
Depending on the reno size, choose to bail or stick around. Ditch to a hotel, rental, or crash with pals for cushier digs. Stay put and save cash, but brace for the stress. Weigh the perks and cons, make the call that fits your vibe and wallet. Reno, here you come!
Get ready for a reno ride! To tackle the chaos and stress of renovation, do some prep work. Here’s the lowdown:
Dump and stash
Before the hammers swing, clear out the zone. Sort your stuff into keep, toss, sell, or donate. Chuck ’em in boxes, label ’em clear, and stash ’em somewhere safe – a spare room, basement, or garage. This keeps your space clear, protects your gear, and cuts the dust.
Scrub and shield
Clean up spots not in the revamp radar. Dust, vacuum, wipe down floors, furniture, appliances – the whole shebang. Cover it all up with plastic, drop cloths, or tarps. Seal off doors, windows, vents, and outlets. Toss in fans, filters, or dehumidifiers for fresher air. This guard duty prevents damage, keeps things clean, and keeps you healthy.
Game plan and gab
Sort things out with your contractor and fam. Plan your day – work, school, meals – around the reno. Keep the convo flowin’ with your contractor, share thoughts and issues. Chat with the fam, lay down the reno rules. This teamwork avoids mix-ups, keeps everyone happy.
Your budget and timeline for maintenance is important. It keeps your project relevant and achievable. The deal is:
1. Establish a reasonable budget and timeline. Know how much you are throwing and how long it will take. Think goals, priorities, design, and all that jazz. Toss another 10-20% for the curve ball.
2. Follow up and review. Look at the costs and compare them to your budget. Track your progress and milestones and see if they fit into your timeline. Review it weekly, look for deviations, and keep your contractor in the loop.
3. Be flexible and adaptable. Are things changing? There is no worry. Tweak your budget and timeline. Consider the impact, decide what needs to be done, and assign priorities. Be prepared to roll with the punches and make sacrifices if necessary. Keep making changes.
